Guitar for Kids - I - Ages 8-15
A fun introduction to the guitar that will give you the basics on guitar chords and simple songs. With an emphasis on playing right away the main focus will be to have you playing simple chords and songs on the guitar. No musical experience necessary! Bring a size-appropriate acoustical guitar.

Guitar for Kids - II - Ages 8-15
A continuation of the Guitar for Kids I class. Come and learn some more chords and songs. This class will touch lightly on note reading and tuning but the main focus will be to have you playing the guitar. No musical experience necessary! Bring a size-appropriate acoustical guitar.

Harp for Kids - Ages 8-15
Have fun with the harp. In this beginning class you will find that playing the harp is easier than it looks! You will learn to play simple melodies and accompaniment on the Celtic harp. No prior musical experience necessary. Just bring your love of this beautiful instrument. Each student will be provided a harp for use during the class.

Piano Camp for Kids - Ages 7-10
Learn the piano the fun way! These lessons will teach you note-reading. You will be playing real songs. Recital at the end of each class. Limited class size. Great experience! No exceptions to age group please. Book included.

Suzuki Piano - Ages 4-16
Suzuki's success has proven not only that young children are capable of learning to play an instrument, but also that they derive genuine pleasure from their music making. In addition to the weekly group lesson held at Modesto Junior College, you will pay for a weekly private lesson arranged through the Suzuki Piano Coordinator. Call 575-6063 for an application. After acceptance into the program, a semester fee of $25 per family is payable to MJC. There is a waiting list, so please plan ahead.
